Events Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Events Manager to join our team. The Events Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events at Pelee Island Winery. This includes weddings, corporate events, wine tastings, festivals, and private parties. The ideal candidate will have a passion for event planning, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to create unforgettable experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Planning and Coordination:
– Plan and execute all winery events in collaboration with the marketing team, ensuring they align with the winery’s brand and standards.
– Coordinate all aspects of events including logistics, scheduling, vendor management, and budgeting.
– Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and partners to ensure smooth event execution.

Client and Guest Relations:
– Serve as the main point of contact for clients and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
– Conduct site visits and consultations with clients to understand their event needs and preferences.
– Handle inquiries, bookings, and negotiations to maximize event revenue and client satisfaction.

Marketing and Promotion:
– Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events through various channels including social media, email marketing, and the winery’s website.
– Create compelling event descriptions and promotional materials.
– Assist in developing marketing strategies to increase event attendance and engagement.
– Develop and maintain forms and systems for managing event inquiries, bookings, and feedback.
– Ensure all inquiries and bookings are accurately recorded and tracked.
– Utilize forms to streamline communication and coordination with clients and internal teams.

On-Site Event Management:
– Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring all details are executed flawlessly.
– Manage event staff and volunteers, providing clear instructions and support as needed.
– Address any issues or challenges that arise during events promptly and professionally.

Budget Management:
– Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring all events are executed within budget.
– Track expenses and provide financial reports to senior management.
– Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising the quality of events.

Qualifications:
– Degree or Diploma in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field.
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in event planning and management, preferably in the hospitality or winery industry.
– Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Eventbrite, Square & Hubspot.
– Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud also considered an asset.
– Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
– Passion for wine and knowledge of the wine industry is a plus.
– Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
