White after Labour Day? Never. Many have heard this as a fashion “rule” and some may even adhere to it as a wine sipping rule. We’re here to share some delicious ways to enjoy white wine after Labour Day.

White After Labour Day

We traditionally switch up what’s on our plates as the seasons change, including heartier fare as fall blows in. This tends to lend itself to more red wine than white. But we don’t want you to dismiss white wine simply because the sun is setting earlier.

White wines are usually higher in acidity which lends themselves to pairing with more acidic foods. These are traditionally served in spring and summer. Yet certain foods with weightier whites are pairings we suggest cozying up to.

Just Desserts

Of course, we couldn’t leave out dessert. Savoury apple-based desserts and the rich pumpkin pies gracing autumn tables are often an event onto themselves. Enjoy these outside under crisp blue skies, changing leaves with one of these white wines.

Cheers!
