Hello Lola! The name may bring to mind musical nods of the wild side. Or perhaps the Copa Cabana. It may be the name of your friend’s daughter or your new puppy. Around here, LOLA is associated with rosé. Our Sparkling Blush Rosé VQA to be exact.
When LOLA joined the Pelee Island Winery family, it was in the form of a Sparkling Vidal. It was the second incarnation of LOLA when we presented our Sparkling Blush Rosé VQA. Upon release it was nominated for the LCBO’s Best New Product Launch in 2017. It quickly become a fan favourite and one of Ontario’s most popular VQA wines! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
But did you know that now, our LOLA family has grown to offer 9 deliciously different wines. And yes, all with their own uniquely designed LOLA-style label.
LOLA Sparkling Vidal VQA – lightly frothy and floral and delicate on the palette, this LOLA is only available via our online Wine Shop.

Rosé Another Way
LOLA Cabernet Franc Rosé VQA – recently given a lovely review by Natalie McLean, this rosé benefits from the warm lake breeze of the Pelee Island coast, where they absorb a fragrance of wild flowers and wild strawberries.
LOLA Chardonnay VQA – some of the wine spends a short time in oak which gives it a big mouth feel and amazing body. It’s one of our winemaker Tim Charisse’s favourites this season.
LOLA Gewürztraminer VQA – if you love spicy food, this is the LOLA for you! A flamboyant bouquet of lychees, roses and passionfruit pair it perfectly with Asian, Thai and spicy South American or African cuisine.
Ready for Red
LOLA Merlot VQA – Time spent in large oak barrels calm the acidity of this wine making it a beautiful summer red to pair with Southern BBQ style offerings such as pulled pork and ribs done on the grill.
LOLA Cabernet Franc – Cabernet Sauvignon VQA – the cherry flavours in this wine carry it through all seasons making it a favourite go-to red.
Time to Sparkle
LOLA Secco VQA – is the perfect choice for a celebration, brunch and is the newest to our Lola line up.
Made using the Charmat Method, the wine undergoes first or secondary fermentation in pressurized stainless-steel tanks vs bottles as in the Traditional Method. Read more about in our blog, “The Difference Between the Bubbles“.
