The All Canadian Wine Championships is the oldest and largest competition specifically designed for wine in Canada! It was established in 1981 to recognize the best wines in Canada. Pelee Island Winery did fantastically well again this year with seven of our wines placing.

Our Lighthouse Riesling - VQA, has a fragrant orchard fresh aroma with a delicate peach bouquet. With a sugar code of (2) it is a refreshing sweeter white wine pefect with appetizers, seafood, cheeses and white meats or just on it's own.

The Lighthouse Cabernet Franc - VQA has a rustic character that some would describe as "bistro" and "elbows-on-the-table kind of wine. You will find it to be very ripe, plumy with sweet flavours. Great with stews, red meat or tomato-based dishes

With the purchase of our Chardonnay or Cabernet Merlot we will donate 10% of the sales to the Ontario Association of Food Banks to help your neighbours facing hunger.

Every month, over 320,000 Ontarians are served by food banks, and forty percent are children. The PAFB's "Buy Local, Share Local" campaign supports our neighbours, our local producers, our environment and our economy.

This year it was held at the Caboto Club in Windsor on May 14. Pelee Island Winery did fantastically well with seven of our wines placing.
