The island is home to our vineyards and pavilion where several tours are available between May and October. Tours include a pavilion tour and wine seminar. The pavilion will be opening for the season May 16th, 2008 at 10:00am Hours: May-June: Mon-Thurs 10-4, Fri-Sun 10-7, July-August Daily 10-8 includes September 1 September-October: Daily 10-4 The pavilion will be closing for the season October 12th at 3:00pm sharp Tour the grounds of the Pavilion itself; learning about some of the history of the Pelee Island Winery, as well as the reasons why it’s is such a great place for grapes to grow. The wine appreciation seminar will give you an in-depth look at the process of making wine. A knowledgeable tour guide will inform you about the historical and mechanical make up of our large antique European Grape Press, an overview of how corks are made and why good cork is so important. The “Vine to Wine” process is highlighted in a video presentation in the theatre room and, finally, the group adjourns to the Tasting Room for the sensory evaluation and appreciation of some of our finest wines. *TOUR INCLUDES WINE TASTING AND COMPLIMENTARY PELEE ISLAND TASTING GLASS.*
